The CompanyMy client is a NZ owned business that has a nationwide branch network with a Head office based in Albany. The business is large and has a well recognised brand as well as a culture of being a great place to work. With expansion and growth operating in a vibrant industry, the business is adding this headcount to the team to provide support & future development of its finance team.The RoleThe Accountant role will report directly to the Senior Management Accountant. Your core responsibilities will include:

Prepare month end accounts and distribute accordingly.
Produce weekly cashflow reports
Bank reconciliations
Review expenses, analyse & provide commentaries
Ensure fixed assets and depreciation are recorded accurately
Reconcile general ledger accounts
Research & resolve reconciliation variances
Provide rebate support including analysis of revenue
Tax compliance; GST, RWT, FBT, PAYE returns & statistic returns
Assist with compiling the annual financial report
Ad-hoc duties

Your ProfileTo be considered for this role, we are looking for a qualified Accountant. You will be someone that is hungry to learn and grow. One of the most critical attributes in this person is their ability to critically think, ask why and be able to analyse.You will also need to have strong communication skills and an ability to partner non-financial people. Additionally, you must be someone that can demonstrate an ability to understand processes/procedures as well as having a strong core fundamental financial accounting background.
