System Engineer 4

• Participate in new product definition interacting with Product Management.
• Tradeoff requested features against architectural decisions.
• Define and document the system-level architecture of a new product.
• Lead technology assessment and feasibility analysis activities cooperating with other functional groups in R&D.
• Create System Design Specifications enabling engineering teams to progress with designs (and finding solutions to technical challenges).
• Assist project managers in scheduling and planning with the early understanding of project complexity.
• Conduct research to validate the technology and mitigate risks.
• Monitor issues, assist in their analysis, and contribute to their solution at a system level.
• Scout newest technologies and trends
• Monitor the development of relevant standards.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, with advanced engineering experience, preferably in the telecommunications domain.
• At least 10 years of experience working in product development.
• Passion for technical learning and exploring new technologies.
• Strong system-level analysis and design skills.
• An ability to work across multiple design disciplines (software, hardware, radio, networking).
• Strong communication skills, written and oral (in English).
• An ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
• Experience with development of point to multipoint access products (including 4G or WiMax or similar point to multipoint including SCADA or Narrowband IoT systems).
• Knowledge of telecommunication products and technologies.
• Availability to adapt working hours to different time zones (mandatory)
• Knowledge of networking devices (network processors or Ethernet switches) (nice to have).
• Knowledge of embedded software and microprocessors (nice to have).
• Experience in multi-site development projects
• Preferred work locaton is Chennai, India
