Ko te kaupapa | About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong healthcare background, excellent IT skills and an interest in data collection and analysis. You will be the bridge between the clinical and operation services on the one hand, and data and digital, on the other. This pivotal role will enable good data collection and analysis across services, to advance both safe staffing and quality patient care.The Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) Programme is a joint initiative between the Safe Staffing Healthy Workplace (SSHW) Unit, the health unions, and Health NZ. CCDM is a whole of (hospital) system approach that focuses on the provision of tools, processes and organisational support systems to match workforce availability and skill mix to demand and manage any variance that occurs each day.These roles include coordination, leadership and project management; developing expert knowledge of the tools and processes within the CCDM and TrendCare programmes so as to facilitate and support the implementation of these into hospital and community services.This role will focus on:
  • actively supporting staff with the data collection process and collating information and data for data analysis into reports.
  • actively assisting and supporting internal teams and personnel in undertaking data collection.
  • enabling and identifying processes to enhance/implement CCDM across in scope services.
  • providing appropriate CCDM / TrendCare programme information and data analysis to stakeholder groups and gathering feedback.
  • articulating the significance of good data to the organisation and the successful implementation of the CCDM / TrendCare programmes.
  • supporting the development of data literacy and understanding of specific programme data generated.
  • working alongside management to improve digital clinical governance, enhance quality and safety measures, and elevate visibility, transparency, effective decision-making and accountability across the organisation.

  • a professional with a strong health care background
  • passionate about showing the value of health and impact for quality patient outcomes
  • have a working knowledge of CCDM / TrendCare and/or strong IT skills
  • computer literate with experience in Microsoft office; word, excel, PowerPoint and teams
  • recognise the importance of data to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare both from a safe staffing and a clinical governance perspective
