Te kōwhiringa | The OpportunityDowner Networks works with some of New Zealand's largest asset owners and energy providers.About the role:We have an exciting opportunity to grow your career as a Line Mechanic within our team working across Taranaki, based out of our New Plymouth depot. You will be responsible for the provision of quality service and workmanship in the areas of construction, maintenance and fault diagnosis/rectification of all network equipment and installations.Nga pūkenga matua | Important SkillsIt is essential that you are an experienced Line Mechanic with knowledge of the power industry and can offer the following:

Relevant EWRB Line Mechanic Registration and current practising licence
Current Class 1 full Drivers Licence, ability to drive a manual vehicle and ideally a Heavy Traffic Licence is desirable.
Sound knowledge of the Safety Manual Electricity Industry (SMEI) and Safe practices for Low low-voltage electrical Work
A minimum of two years' experience including high voltage and overhead work is desirable.

As a highly skilled Line Mechanic your previous experience will demonstrate your technical ability with a broad range of work, a commitment to producing a quality job every time and taking pride in your results.
