Transporter Driver

- Operate a Mack tractor unit with low-loader transporter
- Load, secure, transport, and unload a variety of plant and equipment (e.g., rollers, pavers, excavators, milling machine).
- Conduct pre-start checks and ensure vehicle and trailer are roadworthy.
- Comply with all NZTA heavy vehicle regulations and company transport policies.
- Follow all site and road safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and transport documentation.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure load security and compliance with weight and dimension limits.
- Liaise with project teams to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Assist with basic plant operation or site setup when required.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients or the public.
- Full Class 5 NZ driver licence (essential)
- Proven experience transporting heavy plant and machinery
- Familiarity with Mack tractor units and low-loader trailers
- Strong understanding of load restraint and transport safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work nightshifts and occasional day shifts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- WTR endorsements
- Experience in civil construction or sealing environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Predominantly nightshift work (Sunday-Thursday), with some day shift requirements
