Your workplace will be among the stunning scenery of Otago and South Canterbury, from Oamaru to Queenstown, the Mackenzie Country to Dunedin.As a Pavement Construction Foreperson, you will help mentor, lead and inspire our team of dedicated field staff in our Civil Construction Division. We're looking for someone who can join our civil construction team to deliver quality services to our valued clients across the region, with a strong emphasis on grader operation — ideally with proven final trim and preparation for surfacing experience.Whitestone Contracting Ltd has a strong focus on quality, health and safety, and the environment. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening this culture.Your days will include:
  • Overseeing field operations for safe, efficient, and profitable outcomes.
  • Leading pavement construction activities, including grading, final trim, and surface prep, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Strengthening client relationships and upholding our commitment to quality, health, safety, and the environment.
  • Collaborating with the Civil team to foster growth, mentorship, and development.
  • Embodying and promoting Whitestone Contracting's core values and vision.
You'll bring:
  • Strong experience in the civil construction industry, ideally with demonstrated grader, final trim and pavement prep capability.
  • Excellent communication and customer management skills.
  • A Class 1 licence and WTR as a minimum. Class 4 and higher licences are advantageous.
  • Experience in operation with GPS and Total Station Machine Control is advantageous.
