We have opportunities for talented Deckhands with engineering capabilities to join our team!About the roleReporting to the Crew Development Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring we deliver an outstanding experience and safe journey for our customers. Responsible for all deck duties on board, you'll also ensure the crew are trained and operating at a high standard. You'll be a real champion of the customer experience and motivate your crew to go above and beyond.Duties
  • Lead and influence the customer experience;
  • Provide outstanding customer service in our bar and café;
  • General Deck work;
  • Preparing gangways;
  • Loading and stowing cargo;
  • Completing engine room checks;
  • Handling lines in all weather conditions;
  • Lead of safety on the vessels;
  • Provide training and guidance to our junior crew;
Skills & Experience:
  • You must hold a current New Zealand Marine Engineer Class 5 (MEC5) or higher
  • You will hold a current seafarers medical;
  • You will have a minimum 12 months experience in a similar role;
  • You pride yourself on providing an outstanding customer experience;
  • You have a proven track record and ability to successfully lead and support your crew;
  • You will have a high level of maturity, and ability to work under pressure;
  • You pride yourself on your high standard of personal presentation;
