📈 Exciting projects lined up for 2025 & 2026!We are on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician to join our Wellington-based team. This is a full-time commercial service role, working across a range of client sites in the greater Wellington region.🔨 Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including compressors, pumps, air handlers, dryers, heat exchangers, and control systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic).
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation systems, refrigeration units, and pneumatic/electric valves based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Monitor system gauges and instruments, adjusting controls to maintain performance and efficiency.
- Use refrigeration recovery equipment and carry out gas welding on piping as required.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a wide range of refrigeration systems and temperature settings.
- Maintain detailed service records and report on equipment needing further attention.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to reduce customer disruption.
- Take the lead on-site when needed, offering real-time solutions and support.
- Solid knowledge of refrigeration tools, materials, and testing equipment.
- Proven experience in commercial repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
- Skilled at diagnosing issues using performance and test equipment readings.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- NZ residency or valid work visa required.
