Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction for the test team, partnering with tech leads and architects to ensure engineering and test practices are aligned and ensuring timely delivery of test deliverables. You will also engage in hands-on testing, guide and mentor team members across APAC delivery engineering, and serve as a positive influence for technical best practices. This role offers the opportunity to lead testing in implementation projects, working with Customers on testing deliverables such as test plans, test execution and supporting the customer during customer led test activities.You have an agile mindset, and a clear understanding of the business’ bigger picture. You enjoy ensuring a quality product is delivered to customers and ideally will have some experience in the Energy Market. You play a pivotal role in inspiring and motivating the test team in the Delivery Engineering group to be the best they can be.You work closely with the Test Analysts, Engineering Managers, Delivery Managers, Product Owners, Project and Test Managers, Pre-Sales teams and Customer Success Managers.In addition to this, you will;
  • Support initiatives run by the GSTF and demonstrate our company values by providing a clear commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
  • Contribute through identifying/proposing local sustainable practices and ideas in accordance with our Sustainability Charter.
  • Utilise our sustainability app by taking part in challenges and improving behaviours to be more sustainable.
The Specifics
  • Ongoing review and improvement of Software Testing strategies and practices
  • Contribute to P1 and P2 incident investigations and outcomes
  • Contribute to the Testing Community of Excellence
  • Drive the adoption and use of automated testing
  • Support Engineering managers recruiting Test Analyst roles
  • Responsible for ensuring teams understand and follow best practice to complete testing deliverables for BAU assignments and projects.
  • Provide strategic direction for the test team, undertakes test planning, scopes the testing strategy required, estimates the effort and duration of testing, and determines resource and environment requirements.
  • Ensure that test deliverables are produced are delivered on time, created according to the quality standards defined both internally and by the client, and are written to be re-usable and auditable.
  • Undertake hands-on-testing.
  • Lead key testing activities in implementation projects, from planning and control through to testing analysis and design, test execution, issue triage and reporting.
  • Guide and Mentor other team members.
  • Be a positive influential force for technical best practice within the team.
  • You will foster the evolution of the Delivery Engineering team culture in a growing organization
  • You drive change within the organisation, and foster a positive culture of continuous improvement
  • You will facilitate team growth through an "experiment and learn" mindset to ensure that the team is always looking for a better way.

  • Accurate recording of timesheets and charging of services time
  • To abide to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company.

  • Report all incidents and hazards in your work or in your work environment that may be putting your or anyone else’s Health & Safety at risk promptly.
  • In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your direct line leader.
What we're looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):
  • 7+ years of commercial Software Testing Experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle with Agile, Waterfall, and mixed methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Testing Management tools: Enterprise Test, Team Foundation Server, HPQC, Selenium, SOAPUI, Jenkins, Gherkin, and JIRA.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant technologies and concepts, including Object-Oriented Design, Enterprise Database, AWS, Java or .Net experience, GIT, Web Services, CRM, and Utilities industry.
  • Positive attitude and proactive in driving test best practice cross regionally.
  • Passion for excellence and a commitment to be the best.
  • High levels of energy, sound judgment, and determination with a sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Open-minded consultative approach, ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Relevant Tertiary Education, ISTQB Foundation certification, and 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Specialized skills in Billing systems, CRM knowledge, Programming/Software Development, Test Automation, and Process Improvement.
