At the heart of this transformation is our fibre infrastructure-powering everything from traffic light control systems to CCTV and smart transport technologies.We're looking for a Fibre & Telco Manager to lead the strategic management, optimisation, and expansion of AT's fibre network. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on the city's digital backbone while reducing reliance on commercial providers and driving cost efficiencies.As the Fibre & Telco Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for all things fibre. You'll:

Own and optimise AT's fibre network-ensuring it's resilient, scalable, and future-proof.
Define and enforce fibre design standards across all projects and partners.
Monitor network health and performance, escalating issues that impact critical systems like SCATS and CCTV.
Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and public-sector partners to maximise fibre utilisation and reduce third-party costs.
Support infrastructure projects with expert fibre input, from planning to integration.
Lead documentation, mapping, and lifecycle planning of fibre assets.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?We're after a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise. You'll need:Minimum Requirements:

A degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
5+ years' experience in fibre network planning, documentation, or operations.
Proven ability to manage fibre design, asset documentation, and vendor relationships.
Familiarity with network monitoring and fault management tools.

Desirable Extras:

Certifications like FOA CFOT or BICSI.
Experience with GIS systems and asset management platforms.
Knowledge of public-sector procurement and shared infrastructure strategies.
