We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with general practice experience to join our friendly and supportive team at The Doctors Tauranga. The Doctors Tauranga is a large supportive practice in central Tauranga and also supports two satellite clinics located within a 10 min drive. Our practice has a great team culture and our GPs work closely with a team of experienced health professionals. You will be working with a team of skilled nurses and GP and NP colleagues and an experienced administration team, supported by a dedicated General Manager.

About the roleThe Nurse Practitioner must excel in comprehensive patient care, performing autonomous assessments, diagnoses, treatments, screenings, and prescribing medications. Offering personalised advice requires a friendly, compassionate, and proactive approach. Leveraging prior knowledge and skills, you'll care for a diverse patient base across all age groups. You'll receive support from GPs, experienced nurses, administration, and the Medical Centre Manager as part of our collaborative team.This is a permanent full time position working 32-40 hours across Monday to Friday.Do you have what we are looking for?

A current registration with the NZNC as a Nurse Practitioner and current APC is essential
Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
Prior experience in a medical centre is an advantage
An aim to improve healthcare access across the practice population
An in-depth knowledge of and passion for primary health care
Ability to demonstrate advanced clinical nursing practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
A physically fit person who is confident, friendly and approachable.
