Reporting to the Lines Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

Install, repair and maintain overhead and underground lines
Carry out Fault Response works
Actively work on and maintain the day to day running of the Firstlight Networks Network
Assist with the maintenance on the Streetlight contract inclusive of installations, repairs and maintenance of overhead and underground components associated with streetlights
Build strong long-term relationships with our customers.

To be successful, a candidate must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Current NZ EWRB Practising Licence
NZ Line Mechanic Qualification
Current Unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence, heavy traffic preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience in associated activities
Familiar with distribution systems and associated procedures up to and including 50kV
Knowledge of tree compliance regulations and management procedures preferred
Knowledge of all appropriate industry rules and regulations including the HSAW Act 2015
Strong lines construction skills with a focus on safety
Must be comfortable working at heights
Ability to read and understand plans and maps
Able to carry out system switching
Experience with off road / 4x4 driving
