With a dedication to excellence and a focus on innovation, they pride themselves on their ability to provide tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic client in Auckland. The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of the audit processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of auditing standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Supervise and mentor audit team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, and other audit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to inform audit strategies and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including partners and senior management, to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role, with a proven track record of success in leading audit engagements.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues, analyse data, and develop practical solutions.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
