- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Supervise and mentor audit team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and other audit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to inform audit strategies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including partners and senior management, to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role, with a proven track record of success in leading audit engagements.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues, analyse data, and develop practical solutions.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
