We alsohave a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.About the jobThese jobs offer a competitive hourly rate (relevant experience and skill dependent) and range of employee benefits; These are on-site, permanent, part-time opportunities in multi-skilled and collaborative teams. Hours would range from 16 to 25 hours per week and would include one weekend day without exception. We are currently recruiting in the following areas (please state your department preference and availibility to fulfil the available roster pattern for that department in your cover letter):
  • Hardware (Hand tools, Power tools, Fixings, Fastenings, Automotive)
  • 24 hours - Thursday, Friday and Saturday (10:30-19:00)
  • Front End (including checkouts (process transactions including cash, EFTPOS, credit cards and gift vouchers) and customer services (refunds, exchanges, returns, faulty goods repair, special orders, click and collect and home delivery)
  • 25 hours - Sunday (09:30-17:00), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (10:00-16:30).
  • 18.5 - Thursday, Friday (10:00-16:30) and Saturday (10:00-17:00).
  • Showroom (Bathrooms (basins, vanities, towel rails, mirrors, bathroom accessories) and Kitchens (cabinets, appliances, benchtops, splashbacks, tapware)
  • 24 hours - Sunday, Monday (10:30-19:00) and Tuesday (07:00-15:30).
  • Paint (colour choices and finishes, mixes stains, paints, and other coatings)
  • 16 hours - Sunday and Monday (10:30-19:00)
About the roleYour day would involve providing information to customers on products (across features, benefits and price), answer product related questions and queries (and make recommendations where appropriate) and replenish stock (ensuring appropriate and attractive presentation in merchandise displays including correct ticketing and location). In time you would become a subject matter expert and provide related technical information and specialist advice.What will you bring?
  • You would have a year or more work experience in the departments we are currently recruiting for OR be an avid DIY'er OR be a Tradie looking for a change.
  • You would have stock integrity awareness and an understanding of merchandising standards.
  • You would ideally also have cash handling / transaction processing experience.
  • You would have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • You would be regarded as physically fit and capable of lifting or manual handling
  • You would hold a valid driver's license should you be interested in obtaining your forklift operators certificate which we will endeavour to assist you with.
  • You would be a local resident preferably in the Silverdale area or Rodney district.
