We are actively seeking qualified Traffic Controllers - TTM, TMO, and STMS-certified professionals - to join our clients' teams across Wellington. If you're reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities
  • Directing Traffic:
Safely guide vehicles and pedestrians using stop/slow bats, hand signals, and other control devices around work zones or incident sites. * Traffic Setup & Maintenance:Install, maintain, and remove traffic control systems including signage, cones, and barriers. * Team Communication:Use two-way radios to stay in constant contact with your team, emergency services, and construction crews. * Public & Site Safety:Monitor traffic conditions, identify risks, and respond quickly to maintain a safe environment for everyone. * Public Interaction:Explain traffic management plans clearly and courteously to drivers and pedestrians, handling queries as needed. * Compliance & Coordination:Follow all instructions from supervisors and comply with site-specific traffic management plans.What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Qualities:
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making
  • Attention to detail in all safety protocols
  • Good physical stamina - able to work on your feet in all weather
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Solid problem-solving abilities
Requirements
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
  • Practising TTM, TMO, or STMS certification
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised or in teams
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
