Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThe role of the Senior Analyst in Data Services is to analyse and make publicly available health and disability information from Te Whatu Ora's National Collections and other data sources.The role involves gathering requirements from clients and stakeholders, developing publications and other information products to meet their needs, and working with a range of stakeholders to coordinate data and information which is available publicly. Publications include data tables, visualisations (charts, graphs), and written explanations of the data.As a senior in the team, the role also trains and mentors colleagues, supports the Manager with leadership of the team, improves business processes and efficiency of working, and ensures the re-usability and efficiency of code.About youYou will bring proven experience in data visualisation and presentation, along with confidence in working with large and/or administrative datasets. You're someone who enjoys mentoring and training others, helping to build capability and lift team performance. Comfortable leading complex analysis and projects, you approach challenges with curiosity and rigour.Your excellent relationship-building skills, strong client focus, and positive, helpful approach mean you can connect effectively and deliver on client needs.
