If so, we'd love to hear from you.Nurse Maude, a respected leader in community health and support services, is seeking a full-time, permanent Supply Chain Manager to join our Christchurch-based team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations - from procurement and inventory management through to warehousing and logistics - ensuring our services are delivered efficiently, efficiently, with integrity, and aligned to best-practice standards.You'll be responsible for driving cost efficiency and resilience across the supply chain, while embedding best-practice procurement principles and leading the development of consistent, high-quality supply chain practices across the organisation. This includes overseeing supplier negotiations, contract management, and risk mitigation to ensure procurement decisions deliver real value for Nurse Maude and the community we serve. With strong data and analytics capability, you'll use insights to forecast demand, improve processes, and support smarter decision-making.This role also involves leading a capable team, building future-ready skills, and fostering a collaborative, values-led culture. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to align supply chain strategy with organisational goals and enhance service delivery across our network.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimise procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics operations
  • Provide strategic procurement guidance and embed best-practice procurement principles and practices
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts with favourable terms
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning
  • Translate organisational strategy into actionable supply chain objectives
  • Leverage data and analytics to forecast trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Build and develop a high-performing team aligned with Nurse Maude's values
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and support cross-functional collaboration
  • Actively support the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

To thrive in this role, you will bring:Experience and Knowledge
  • 5+ years' experience in supply chain management, ideally in healthcare or community services
  • Proven success leading RFx processes, contract negotiations, and supplier performance
  • Strong background in inventory and warehouse management
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Familiarity with NZ public sector procurement principles and ethical standards
Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle)
