That means we take every opportunity to make sure our Elders have companionship, spontaneity, fun, meaningful activity and a sense of purpose in their life here.Mō te tūranga - About the roleAs a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements. You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves. We have three Health Care Assistant roles available - all PM shifts.Your key responsibilities will be:
Deliver the highest standard of personalised care to every Resident
Support and encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves
Assist and support the activities of daily living in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing
Take instruction and tasks from the Registered Nurse
Ensure resident's needs are attended to effectively and in a timely manner
Mō koe - About YouPassion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. In addition, you will have:
Ability to be an active member of a team environment
Clear and confident communication skills - both verbal and in writing
Basic computer skills as we work with electronic record keeping
Must hold a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or above
Previous experience in aged care or other healthcare assistant or support worker role
