About the RoleOur client is a public sector organisation delivering essential services to the community. They're currently looking for a confident Business Analyst to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support their BAU reporting needs.This role is all about understanding business needs, interpreting data, and turning that into meaningful reporting and insights. You'll be working with Power BI in an Azure-based data environment and will need to be comfortable speaking the language of data and guiding stakeholders in what they need (and what they don't). The work is fast-paced but supportive, and you'll be part of a collaborative team with a strong delivery focus.Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and performance reports using Power BI
Work closely with business users to understand requirements and interpret data needs
Translate business problems into data solutions, including scoping and querying
Deliver regular BAU reports and respond to ad-hoc data requests
Collaborate with data and technical teams within an Azure environment

Skills and Experience Required

Proficiency in Power BI, ideally in an Azure-based environment
Confident working with data, interpreting trends and identifying key metrics
Skilled in asking the right questions to understand business requirements
Ability to turn complex data into clear, accessible reporting and visualisations
Excellent communication skills - you can speak both 'business' and 'data'
Bonus: knowledge of AI tools, modelling, or predictive analytics
