We're searching for a decisive, capable leader to take the lead as our Works Delivery Project Lead. You'll have a dual role; lead your crew with confidence and precision, while also managing a portfolio of major projects that keep the network running strong.What you'll do:

Lead by example and with high expectation - coach, develop, and hold your team accountable through 1:1s and structured performance check-ins
Run complex projects end-to-end; control the moving pieces, solving the tough problems, and driving precise execution
Build trust with contractors, councils, and agencies like DOC and NZTA while aligning internal teams around deliverables and SLA's
Keep safety at your core, while constantly ensuring the standard remains high, across cost, time, and performance

What you bring to the table:

Tertiary or trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Civil Construction, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
A strong track record in project delivery - ideally across energy, utilities, or infrastructure
Proven leadership - you've done this before, you're someone who backs their team and gets things done
Technical nous - whether it's trenching, cabling, or coordinating across functions, you speak the language of those around you
Confident communicator - able to hold both strategic discussions and on-site briefings with ease
