- Monday - Friday: 4 hours per day
We are looking for a Café Assistant / Barista to work at our stunning Orion Point Village in Hobsonville. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends and of course amazing coffee! Our new cafe will also be open to the public, so you will enjoy a range of customers to interact with.Shifts: Monday to Friday: 7am - 11am or 8am - 12 noon (you choose)Some of the great things you will be doing:
- Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
- Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
- Serving and collecting meals in our café
- Serving meals to our residents (in the care home)
- Operating the cash register
- Assisting with food preparation
- General cleaning including café equipment and cutlery
- Additional Kitchen duties as and when required
You will have exceptional customer service skills, enjoy giving service with a smile and can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once. With some barista experience, some things that will support your application include:
- Impeccable personal presentation
- Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills
- A good command of spoken and written English
- A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experience
