- People management including site Health and Safety; and
- Business unit management.
- Achieve revenue and sales targets for the Generator Test team;
- Identify and develop opportunities within PSC’s existing and potential client base;
- Work with other PSC entities to develop joint proposals using resources across multiple countries
- Develop and review consulting proposals and their components
- Engage with key technical people within client organizations to ensure PSC Generator Test services are meeting client expectations;
- Complete complex consulting projects that fall within the Generator Test service offering which are often combined with the system studies team;
- Act as or nominate technical lead and/or reviewer for consulting engagements within the service offering;
- Coordinate and finalize the delivery of complex engineering consulting advice requiring multiple consultants and/or groups from within the PSC Group;
- Achieve team utilization targets;
- Conduct annual and quarterly performance reviews and updates with direct reports;
- Provide ongoing technical and professional guidance and mentorship to individual team members;
- Define recruitment needs for ongoing work load;
- Management of multiple client site Health and Safety requirements with the team members;
- Contribute to preparation of annual business development and operational team budget as part of the Power Networks business;
- Prepare monthly report of team activities;
- Prepare monthly report of BD budget expenditure;
- Prepare end-of-year performance report;
- Contribute to weekly sales and operations reports;
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent is highly desirable
- Ideally with 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Ability to work to deadlines and exceed client expectations
- At least 2 years of managing technical staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Legally authorised to work in New Zealand
- Ability to work to deadlines and exceed client expectations
- Registered professional engineer in New Zealand is preferred
- Based in Christchurch.
- Excellent presentation skills to represent PSC New Zealand in industry forums, working groups and conferences
- Ability to travel, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for business development and consultancy work
