- Be accountable for all facets of our cell replacement programs including cell removal, cleaning, delining, refurbishment, relining and reinstatement in the reduction lines.
- Electrical bus and connections repairs and maintenance.
- Critical support functions including cell sampling, cavity maintenance, crucible cleaning and management and other associated support functions.
- Critical support functions associated with demand response and cell restarts.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring robust safety practices and continuous risk management.
- Execution of the reduction cell rebuild plan. Delivery of the reduction plan in conjunction with your other Reduction Superintendent peers.
- Support maintenance and capital and sustaining project delivery related to the departments infrastructure.
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of highly skilled maintainers, project managers and technical support staff — creating a culture where people thrive and feel proud of their work.
- A relevant reduction line experience and a sound understanding of potline cell operation processes and electrical DC bus work connection systems.
- A strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. A relevant trade or degree is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial plant and systems
- A track record of leading high-performing teams with a focus on safety, engagement, and performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to build trusted relationships internally and externally.
