Burwood Hospital is the major centre for specialist Older Persons Health services. These services are Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation. There are five assessment treatment and rehabilitation wards.Ward D1 - specialises in those patients with orthopaedic injury or post orthopaedic surgery.A Hospital Aide is an integral part of our team of health professionals.We are looking for a Hospital Aide who has excellent communication skills, and the ability to use their initiative. You will enjoy being busy and don't mind that the role can be at times physically demanding. You will be hard-working and enjoy working in a well-established team. Bring your positive attitude, caring and compassionate nature and sense of humour to help us support our patients.You will be responsible for:
- Assisting nursing staff with patient cares
- Keeping the ward tidy and organised
- Ordering and restocking of supplies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage well
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Initiative and a proactive approach to work
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team work
- Strong computer skills and administration experience would be an advantage
- Ideally experience as a Hospital Aide or similar
