- You will need to be a registered health professional with previous experience leading a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- You will have prior experience in managing service delivery to meet the specific primary health needs of Māori and a strong understanding of the health needs facing our community.
- You will have an understanding of the primary care strategy.
- Knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement tools and practices, and project management are essential.
- You will have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills along with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Your knowledge of the local community and networks and your ability to build relationships and rapport will set you apart.
- Your leadership style will be inclusive of all cultures, beliefs, protocols and practices and you will be comfortable in the application of Tikanga Māori.
