We are approaching the season where we are seeking qualified Traffic Controllers with previous experience, and hold a minimum of their TTM qualifications.DescriptionOnestaff Invercargill is the leading supplier of temporary staff to a number of large Civil Roading Companies in Southland. Our clients are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and qualified Traffic Controllers to assist them with the management of traffic and pedestrian movement across various locations in and around Invercargill and the greater South Island regionJob DescriptionYou will be working in a team environment under the guidance and instruction of experienced staff, ensuring that fellow employees and the public are kept safe as they move through the work-site.Tasks include:

Assisting the Site Supervisor by placing signage and cones at the location of work.
Communicating with fellow Traffic Controllers, using a hand-held radio to ensure the smooth flow of traffic through the work-site.
Clearly communicating with the public in a friendly manner.
Dealing promptly with any breaches, such as vehicles failing to follow your directions.
Physically able to stand for long periods of time in varying weather conditions.

Job Requirements

Must hold a minimum of a TTM qualification
Class 1 Driver's license (Restricted Minimum).
Constructsafe Card (preferable).
Excellent verbal communication.
Ability to resolve any situations of conflict in a calm and professional manner.
Physical fitness to assist in the loading & unloading of signs & sandbags from vehicles
