Job Description: Our client, an accounting firm located in Matamata, is currently seeking a highly skilled High Intermediate to Senior Accountant to join their team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in various responsibilities vital to the firm's success. The Accountant will be responsible for:

Sorting client financial records
Coding financial data
Addressing client queries
Preparing GST returns
Compiling work papers for annual accounts
Reviewing and preparing financial statements
Completing Income Tax returns
Finalizing Financial Statements and Income Tax returns after partner review
Resolving ACC issues with clients
Liaising with the IRD regarding client affairs
Undertaking ad hoc advisory tasks for clients as necessary
Handling miscellaneous office tasks

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Professional accounting - like to have, not a must (CA )
3-4 years of experience as an Intermediate Accountant.
5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
