In this role, you will be part of the team working with clients, contractors and vendors to deliver a diverse range of projects across New Zealand, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.While each project you work on will be different in scope and scale, you will be:
  • Supporting the delivery of multi-discipline projects, leading preliminary and concept design including PFD and P&ID development, bulk flow, mass and heat balance development, tailored specifications for process equipment and supporting the tendering of major equipment
  • Leading and facilitating design review workshops for varying clients
  • Working directly with clients building relationships within our business and with clients throughout the project lifecycle including initiation, concept development, design, procurement, and commissioning
  • Collaborating with our clients to improve process capacity or troubleshoot issues across sites, including main plant or in the utility space
  • Gaining experience through short to long term assignments as part engineering teams during the concept design to construction phases in regional New Zealand, Australia and the Asia Pacific region
This role will be based on Beca's Hamilton office with our Industrial team of ~20 diverse and passionate engineers, process experts, designers and project delivery teams. In addition, you will be looking for your next career step to expand your career within a consulting environment. You may be motived to build your understanding of the design process learning from our industrial leaders and getting involved in 'stretch' projects. You will also enjoy the challenge of working across multiple projects with different timelines and deliverables, as well as having responsibility for delivery of your part of a project.You will also be a relationship builder, both who is experienced with and enjoys working with on-site teams, supporting and building relationships with the operational and engineering teams we interact with.
