  • Supporting the development and implementation of business plans for the growth of environmental services in Christchurch as well as supporting the wider National Environment and Pacific business.
  • Promoting GHD's established environmental technical capacity to clients, driving & coordinating delivery through our national business.
  • Planning and owning the delivery of environmental outcomes & solutions within our infrastructure projects.
  • Providing creative solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities.
  • Making technical decisions, preparing technical reports, management plans and strategies.
  • Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects.
  • Working within a highly coordinated national team, mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Work with industry groups and various stakeholders to continue to develop GHDs engagement in the region.
What you will bring to the team
  • Bachelor of Science equivalent or higher
  • Confidence, integrity, and passion to represent GHD in supporting our client relations management program and project delivery.
  • Desire to advance technically in specialist environmental areas while maintaining a broad appreciation of scientific application in the real world.
  • At least 5 to 10 years' experience, ideally a specialist skill in Contaminated Land, Hydrology, Hydrogeology or Water Sciences.
  • Sound knowledge of environmental challenges facing regional communities and New Zealand with view of how excellent technical assessment and planning can be implemented to provide positive, successful outcomes to communities.
  • Have excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.
  • Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • An interest in coaching and mentoring to technically strengthen the team capabilities.
  • Based in Christchurch and mobile works around NZ (project by project)
