He angitūtanga / The opportunity:We are looking for multiple enthusiastic Chefs on a Permanent Full-Time basis to join our team in Waiouru, NZ Defence Site.Waiouru is located within the Ruapehu district, 130 km north of Palmerston North and 112km from Taupo. With some of the best fly fishing, hunting, great walks, skiing and mountain bike trails in the country on your doorstep it's an outdoor enthusiast's dream. The tight knit community is proactive and offer plenty of events you can chose to be a part of.In this position you will be responsible for;

The preparation, bulk cooking and presenting between meals whilst ensuring the quality of every dish we serve!
Cooking within the budget,
Assisting with ordering and menu development as well as ensuring the health and wellbeing of our customers through allergen and nutrition management.

This position is all go. On one day you will need to be able to produce meals in large volume whilst on another serving a la carte menu, another a five-star dinner or regimental dinner and always to strict timelines. You will need to be flexible in the areas you work and on occasion take the responsibility for running the kitchen.He kōrero mōu / About you:You will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude and ideally already have proven work experience in a similar role however full training will be provided.
