- Design seasonal apparel ranges across performance and lifestyle categories including outerwear, mid-layers, base layers, and accessories.
- Translate seasonal briefs into functional, trend-aware designs that align with brand DNA and target customer.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, CADs, and tech packs for development and sourcing teams.
- Research and apply innovative construction techniques, materials, and trims suited to merino and natural fibre performance wear.
- Work closely with the Creative Director, Product Managers, and Developers to ensure cohesive storytelling and commercial viability.
- Partner with the Materials team to select and brief fabrics, finishes, and trims that meet sustainability, performance, and aesthetic goals.
- Collaborate with freelance graphic designers to ensure seasonal graphics align with Mons Royale’s creative direction and technical requirements.
- Provide clear briefs, feedback, and creative direction to external artists so graphics complement product storytelling.
- Review and approve graphic concepts, ensuring they are production-ready and suitable for performance apparel.
- Maintain brand handwriting in trims, patches, prints, and labels so they work seamlessly with product design.
- Manage the design process from concept through to production handover, ensuring fit, function, and style integrity.
- Present design concepts to internal stakeholders with clarity and creative vision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Marketing, and Sales to ensure product stories are consistent from concept to consumer.
- 4+ years of experience as an apparel product designer in performance, outdoor, or lifestyle apparel.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, technical performance features, and natural fibre capabilities.
- Experience working with freelance graphic designers and providing clear creative direction.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop; experience with CLO3D or other 3D garment tools a plus.
- Ability to balance creative vision with commercial needs.
