Foreman - Formwork Subcontractor - Christchurch, NZMy client is a rapidly growing formwork subcontractor based in Christchurch, working alongside some of New Zealand's biggest civil contractors. It's a young, dynamic, and hardworking team delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. As they expand, they are looking for a Foreman to join the team and play a pivotal role in their continued success.As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on construction sites, specifically related to formwork and concrete activities. You will lead and supervise teams, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You'll also work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the formwork and concrete operations on various infrastructure projects.
Lead and coordinate a team of tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain strict health and safety standards on-site.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project progress.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards.
Assist in the preparation and planning of formwork setups, ensuring all resources are available and on schedule.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
Report to the Project Manager and other senior staff on project status and any challenges or issues.

Key Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in formwork and concrete, ideally in the civil infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of construction processes, especially related to formwork and concrete.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
A proactive, solution-oriented attitude with a focus on quality and safety.
Flexibility to travel to different project sites when required.
