Job DescriptionThis role undertakes Research & Development to deliver new and optimized food products, meets business objectives and delivers to consumer expectation in regards to quality, safety and preference. You would need to perform assigned tasks in accordance with all KraftHeinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health & Safety, Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.Note: this is a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend or grow within the business!Responsibilities:
  • Development of new and renovation of existing products and processes to deliver NPD, cost saving, ESG and quality improvement projects.This includes activities such as feasibility assessments, prototype development, costing, supervision of factory trials, recipe and label development, sensory testing, technical approval, shelf life assessment and technical support for initial factory production.
  • Provides technical leadership to drive project completion and adherence to business process in partnership with Marketing and other functions.
  • Drive growth and cost-saving opportunities for relevant business categories using commercial acumen and specific category knowledge.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, and Procurement
  • Provide technical guidance and input to QRMP and other business quality programs.
About you:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or Food Sciences
  • Previous experience in NPD in the Food industry
  • Computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding of FSANZ Food Standards code and food labelling requirements
  • Understanding of interactions between ingredients, additives, recipes, processes and packaging types
