With more than 94,000 employees, we operate a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionAs an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector at SGS New Zealand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of industrial operations.This role is based in Taupo, the heart of the North Island, Taupo offers a great lifestyle, a blend of stunning natural beauty and outdoor adventure.In this full-time position, you will work with a diverse range of clients, we operate in all major industrial groups from dairy, power generation, oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper process plants through to constructions, building and light engineering.What you'll be doing
Performing a range of non-destructive testing techniques, including visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and liquid penetrant inspection
Interpreting test results and preparing detailed reports to communicate findings to clients
Maintaining accurate records and complying with relevant industry standards and regulations
Collaborating with clients to understand their specific testing requirements and provide tailored solutions
Continuously expanding your knowledge and skills in the latest NDT methodologies and technologies
Ensuring a safe working environment and following all health and safety protocols
Qualifications
ISO 9712 -UT2 Welds, MT2 and PT2 certification are essential
ISO 9712 - Phased Array certification and Certified Welding Inspection (CWI) would be an advantage
Minimum 5 years practical work experience in NDT
Customer and client service focus.
A current driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites around NZ.
Able to use computers and technology.
Able to work well with others in a team environment.
