Our client is a leading independent investment bank with a strong track record advising on complex M&A transactions and providing strategic advice to a broad range of corporate and private equity clients.Ongoing deal activity has created an opportunity for a high-performing Investment Banking Associate or Associate Director to join their Christchurch team. This is a unique chance to join a market-leading firm that values analytical depth, commercial acumen, and high-quality client service.The team advises on transactions across New Zealand, including buy-side and sell-side M&A and capital raising mandates, spanning a broad range of industry sectors.We are seeking an individual who is:

Academically strong, ideally with a degree in Finance or Economics
Skilled in financial modelling, valuation, research, and the preparation of transaction material and due diligence processes
An articulate communicator with strong written skills and the confidence to engage with clients from day one
Commercially focused, with experience in M&A or corporate finance—likely from an investment bank, Big 4 corporate finance team, or private equity firm
