The world-famous Agrodome is re-opening for business, and we're looking for a passionate and experienced Food and Beverage Events Manager to help us take our hospitality offering to the next level.For over 40 years, manuhiri (visitors) from around the globe have come to experience the iconic Agrodome Farm Show and explore our attractions, including the Woollen Mill and Shearing Museum, Farm Tour, and more. Now, we're expanding our horizons by offering first-class catering and venue options across three distinct food and beverage spaces - from daily visitors to conferences and weddings.This is a unique opportunity to lead the transformation of our hospitality experience. You'll be part of a small, friendly management team with the autonomy to shape how we deliver manaakitanga (hospitality) to our manuhiri. We're offering a competitive salary package and the chance to make a real impact.What you'll be doing
- Leading and managing a team of food and beverage kaimahi (staff), including chefs, kitchen crew, and wait staff
- Overseeing daily operations across multiple venues and ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Collaborating with our sales team to promote and secure bookings for our newly renovated event spaces
- Delivering memorable experiences for a wide range of events - from corporate functions to weddings
- Supporting Ngāi Tahu Tourism's vision of enriching the lives of current and future generations of Ngāi Tahu whānui
- Previous supervisory or management experience in food and beverage
- Comfortable managing multiple venues and event types
- A hands-on team player who leads by example
- Proven ability to motivate and get the best out of your team
- Experience in promoting venues and coordinating events
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Agrodome's animals and an interest in New Zealand's agricultural and horticultural history
- Full New Zealand driver licence
