We are looking for an inspirational Memory Care Lead who is looking for their next challenge to provide leadership and direction to our brand-new Memory Care Centre. The Memory Care Centre will be our specialist centre for our Residents living with Dementia.This position will report into the St Johns Care Centre Manager and will provide leadership, support and clinical guidance to the Memory Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your clinical expertise to the advantage of the residents and to enable the team to deliver on the person-cantered model of care.This is a full-time role with working hours from Monday - Friday. On occasion you may be required on-call. The estimated start date for this role is 3rd June 2024.Job Description:Role Responsibilities:Leading the dedicated Memory Care team of up to 10 staff to ensure that our Residents receive best of life care.Utilising your strong understanding in Dementia to provide clinical guidance and ensure best practice within the Memory Care Centre.Fostering an environment in which there is a continual focus on ongoing learning and development in memory care and memory care practices.Qualifications:About You:The ideal applicant will be a calm, caring, and conscientious person who works well with others. They will need excellent listening and communication skills and a willingness and interest in supporting people living with dementia. They will have a person-centred approach and align with Summersets values.You will need:Bachelor of Health/Nursing Science. Experience in Dementia and Memory care practices is an advantage.Demonstrated experience supporting residents who have soft cognitive loss, or more advanced dementia.Understanding in how to proactively support our resident's day to day wellbeing.Ability to coach and develop the team to ensure best of life care.Have a solid understanding and network of local community services focused on memory care as well as community based aged care services.By bringing the best of life to our residents, we stand apart in the aged care sector.
