About the roleAre you looking for a job, that allows you to give back to the community, and the environment? This position could be just the job for you!You’ll be the first & key contact for all our customers at the Awapuni Resource Recovery Centre. You will be a Customer Service Star in this role and as you’ll be helping many members of the community, you need to be great at communicating with a wide range of people. You’ll also need to be self-motivated and honest, as you’ll have sole charge of the weighbridge. Organisation and attention to detail are crucial, as duties include recording weights, taking bookings and data entryThis is a part-time role, 19.5 hours per week, Sunday 11.45 – 4.15pm, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 12.00pm – 5.00pmYour focus in this role will include:
Provide a high level of service to customers who use the Palmerston North Recycling Facilities, so they continue to use the facility.
Record inwards recycling weights for PNCC recycling vehicles and recycling trucks
Data entry and auditing as required
Assist with organising pick-up of material from customers for plastics, glass and metals
About youYou will be a team player, working constructively with others and be flexible to work outside of normal hours when required. Computer skills and EFTPOS knowledge are desirable.To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
Cash handling experience.
A current driver’s licence is essential.
A degree of initiative with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
