To complete your specialist training and receive certification to teach independently, you'll need to be able to commit to roughly eight full days within the first two months. The exact time frame to be signed off will vary based on your facilitation skills and grasp of the course material.After that, the flexibility of a casual role means it can work around your schedule. Availability for early starts between 7.30 and 8am (not including travel) is necessary, along with a willingness to work the occasional weekend.)QualificationsKo wai koe - About you:With a passion for mental health and wellbeing, you'll have a powerful desire to create positive and transformative learning opportunities to enhance the lives of individuals, whānau, organisations and communities. Our Tutors have a passion for the delivery of high-quality training, in a way that engages attendees and produces excellent outcomes for our customers.You will preferably have a background in, and ideally hold, or be working towards a qualification in the mental health and wellbeing.In addition, you will have:
- Strong adult training/facilitation experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with people from all walks of life, with the ability to engage groups of learners
- Confident with various tech/software
- High level of compassionate empathy alongside the ability to take assertive action to create a safe learning space
- Full NZ driver's licence, comfortable driving a large van with your own transport for local travel
- Qualification in adult education is advantageous however, we can support you to gain this
- NZQA unit standard 4098 is also an advantage
