- 40 ASHB with all the bells and whistles
- Brick 4-bedroom house, with heat pump + wood fire
- Roster - 11 days on, 3 days off
- Internal system with all young stock run on farm
- Supportive team with the opportunity for progression/promotion
- Two full-time staff members
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the farm including identifying any issues that affect core farm activities eg water, power or machinery
- Managing pasture through regular pasture walks
- Monitor herd health and welfare, including identifying and treating sick animals
- Coordinate the on-farm team during tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and maintenance
- Oversee the milking process in the 40 aside herringbone cow shed, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the milking area
- Assist with calving/mating and have the ability to pick cows for AB
- 3 years experience in managing dairy farming operations
- An understanding of pasture management and animal husbandry practices including some experience with young stock
- Tractor driving experience and understanding of farm machinery
- Take pride in a well-presented farm
- Confident in picking cows for AB
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant dairy industry training and computer literacy
- Has an appetite for continuous improvement
