We're looking for a skilled and experienced Engineers Representative to help us manage and deliver these projects to the highest standards.About the role | Ko te mahi neiAs part of the Technical Services & Design Unit, you'll act as the Engineer's Representative under NZS 3910 and 3916 contracts, ensuring contracts are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. You'll work closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to manage physical works contracts-particularly those related to roading and retaining walls.Key responsibilities include: - Administering contracts and certifying payments, variations, and extensions of time. (Noting all the powers of the Engineer to Contract other than matters of dispute are designated down to Engineers Representative within the Council contract templates).
- Providing technical and contractual advice across the Council.
- Auditing works to be vested in Council assets.
- Supporting project delivery through effective relationship and contract management.
About you | Ko Koe TēneiYou will bring: - A qualification in Civil Engineering and or significant practical equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in contract management and construction supervision.(as Eng Rep or EtC)
- Strong working knowledge of NZS 3910 and 3916.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- A full, current driver's licence.

- Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $126,230 to $140,255 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
