As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the technology behind the company's e-commerce platform and design studio. This is a hands-on position with a strong emphasis on back-end development, cloud infrastructure, and microservices, while still contributing across the full stack.
You'll collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and other talented developers to enhance platform performance, optimise image and PDF rendering, and help shape the technical direction of the business.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full-stack development using Node.js, AWS Lambda, SQL, and Angular.
- Leverage additional tools such as ASP.NET, Adobe Creative Suite, Visual Studio, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Umbraco CMS, and C#.NET.
- Develop and maintain backend infrastructure, including microservices and serverless computing.
- Enhance and optimise advanced image and PDF rendering systems.
- Implement and refine e-commerce features for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues while maintaining high code quality.
- Backend: Node.js, AWS Lambda, SQL (DynamoDB), C#, ASP.NET
- Frontend: Angular
- Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, Cloud Services)
- Focus Areas: Microservices, image processing, PDF manipulation, metadata handling
- 3+ years' commercial software development experience, ideally in a full-stack capacity.
- Strong backend expertise in Node.js with AWS infrastructure experience.
- Solid frontend skills with Angular (or similar frameworks).
- Proven experience working with microservices architecture.
- Strong communicator with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
