Step into a career where your actions today help power tomorrow.What you'll do:As a Project Manager in our Asset Delivery team, you'll report to the Head of Asset Delivery and play a key role in delivering Genesis Energy's pipeline of utility-scale renewable generation and BESS projects.You'll support the Project Director and/or Senior Project Manager on assigned projects, working across the full project lifecycle-from early-stage delivery planning and securing investment approval, through to construction, commissioning, and operational handover.Key responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Generation Development team, providing delivery expertise and managing handover of advanced-stage developments
Establish clear scope, time, and cost baselines
Support the procurement and management of main contracts
Support business case and Final Investment Decision (FID) processes
Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans
Monitor and report on project performance against baselines, while proactively managing risks and issues
Ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance during construction
Build and manage strong stakeholder relationships with landowners, councils, iwi, and community groups
Manage operational readiness and asset handover, including all post-construction close-out activities.

This is a permanent, full-time role that can be based in either our Auckland or Hamilton office.What you'll need:To be successful in this role, you will bring project management experience from a fast-paced engineering, energy, or infrastructure environment. You'll have strong knowledge of project management tools and techniques, with the ability to deliver large -scale projects end-to-end.You will possess:

A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, or a related field (PMP or similar certification is an advantage)
5+ years' project management experience, ideally on the owner's side delivering large scale infrastructure or utility-scale energy projects
Commercial acumen, with good understanding of business cases, contracts, and commercial drivers for projects
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels
The drive to deliver, and the resilience to navigate complexity and competing priorities
Experience in utility-scale BESS, solar PV, grid connections, and/or the New Zealand electricity industry will give you a distinct advantage.
