Are you ready to get started?Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the roleWe are looking for an experienced External Auditor to join our Financial Assurance team in Napier - the vibrant Te Matau-a-Māui /Hawkes Bay city known for its Art Deco architecture and stunning landscapes. As part of our East Coast Assurance team, you will work closely with colleagues in our Christchurch office on various external audit engagements, ultimately helping build trust in societyThis is a full-time opportunity, minimum 37.5 hours per week. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Leading audits or acting as the 'audit in charge' on client engagements across a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, agriculture, Māori business and funds.Supervising and coaching junior staff members, providing guidance on audit methodology and best practices.Becoming an integral part of building the public's trust and confidence in our clients by delivering high quality audits of financial statements.Collaborating directly with clients and teams, understanding their needs, testing internal controls, and substantiating financial information.Utilising cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of external audit work.Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experienceThis is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing external audit experience which will ideally come from a globally known professional services firm.
