You will provide professional and timely HR support and advisory services to line managers and staff, ensuring best practices and procedures comply with relevant legislation, company policies, and employment agreements. Your responsibilities will also include coaching, supporting, and informing line managers to build capability in people management and achieve business outcomes.This role will be split between our Ellerslie and Airport Oaks offices.Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnering: Build effective relationships with client group managers, support HR processes for change management, coach line managers on HR matters, and support HR operational planning
  • Human Resource Functional Execution: Participate in HR function development, use HRIS and other systems effectively, prepare and present HR-related reports, and contribute to HR initiatives
  • Human Resource Support Activities: Support HR operational excellence initiatives, create/update job descriptions, and provide quality advice to line managers. Assist with end-to-end recruitment during peak workloads
  • Learning and Development: Research and coordinate training opportunities, lead the implementation of training initiatives, develop and support corporate induction programs, and gather feedback for program improvements
  • Organizational Contribution: Maintain professional development, undertake performance development tasks, and participate in corporate projects and initiatives
To excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:
  • Experience in HR business practices (preferably within FMCG, Supply Chain, or a similar business)
  • A degree in HR or Business (desirable)
  • Demonstrated and/or working knowledge of people-related business processes in areas such as employee communications, recruitment, change management, workforce planning, employment relations, and onboarding
  • Demonstrated knowledge in NZ Employment law and employment best practices
  • Experience with Success Factors & SAP (desirable)
  • Exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Experience with integration and change management (highly desirable)
  • Exceptional skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding organisational and time management aptitude
  • A high level of professionalism and a drive for continuous improvement and success
  • Exceptional people skills and relationship-building skills
