Have a look at our other great benefits !Te kōwhiringa | The OpportunityDowner hold a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections that proactively manages and delivers to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons, 98 courts and 141 community correctional sites.This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performance team who are focused on delivering outstanding project outcomes. Can be based either at our Hamilton office or Auckland office, you will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, Tender Manager and Project Managers.Your main responsibilities include but not limited to;

Assisting with the administering the procurement functions, such as contractual and financial of the projects;
Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure consistent and sound commercial approach is applied to all site operations of the projects;
Assisting to provide early warning of unexpected financial outcomes.

This role is a great position for someone looking to grow into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role and gain exposure in Projects within some of New Zealand's most challenging environments.Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

A top performer - able to work under pressure in a fully integrated team environment
Graduate QS: NZCQS or NZCE, National Diploma or equivalent is essential
Fully conversant with all aspects of contractual management, interim and final progress payments, measurement, record keeping and contract variations
Ability to work under pressure in a fully integrated team environment;
The flexibility to be mobile as working on projects outside your home base will be required
Experience working in a similar role on Projects up to $5m
