In this role, you'll be responsible for providing scalable and resilient systems to enable Product teams to deliver services for our internal staff and customers.This will involve the implementation of well-designed systems and identifying technology/process improvement opportunities with a bias toward the reduction of risks to availability, latency and efficiency while enabling self-service for customers.Systems include public cloud and software development platforms such as Gitlab. Your availability and integrity are paramount, as you'll take responsibility to ensure these critical services are always operational. Your ability to see the “big picture” and offer suggestions will be highly valued, as you assist and contribute to the strategic direction of the TSB's platforms, systems and services.What you'll be doing:
- Deliver and maintain robust platforms across hybrid cloud and software development environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce latency, risk, and inefficiencies.
- Support BAU activities including incident, request, and change management.
- Contribute to strategic platform design and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and automate repetitive tasks using Infrastructure as Code.
- Maintain clear documentation and support processes.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster as needed.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and VMware environments.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience managing container runtimes, API gateways, logging tools, and secret management services.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes workload deployment and management advantageous.
- Proven experience in Linux system administration
- Familiarity with F5 LTM and GTM is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
