Transport has the potential to shape our city for the better - from the streets we live, work and spend time on, to the trains, bus services, cycle and walkways we use every day.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityAuckland Transport (AT) is seeking a dynamic Service Operations Manager to lead our service operations into the future.This is a pivotal role where you'll drive the performance, stability, and strategic direction of AT's service operations, ensuring they are the go-to platform for process, automation, and workflow management across the organisation.What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead a high-performing team of Service Delivery and Continuous Improvement Managers.
  • Oversee day-to-day service operations, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap aligned with AT's business goals and technology strategy.
  • Manage outsourced vendors, holding them accountable to KPIs and service outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into effective service solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.
  • Be a trusted partner and escalation point for the business.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in IT environments, with 5+ years in service operations management.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, vendor management, and communication.
  • Preferred: ITIL certification and experience in building service funding models.
