Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the roleTe Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Pūkenga - Lecturer in Industrial Design to join the Industrial Design team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.Key responsibilities:
  • Committed to high quality, multidisciplinary teaching and learning in the areas of Industrial Design and First Year Design.
  • Collaboratively organise teaching and learning focused on Industrial Design that integrates with the Schools multidisciplinary environment.
  • Function as an Industrial Design programme representative teaching flexibly by negotiation.
Ō pūmanawa - About youYou will be a motivated, student-focused individual who can take the initiative, undertake administrative responsibilities and work collaboratively to produce a future focused Industrial Design curriculum. To thrive in this role requires a positive and respectful manner with staff and students, an ability to influence and manage multiple demands, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills. This role is busy, challenging, extremely rewarding and interesting for the individual with the right temperament.Key requirements:
  • University teaching experience or experience from a relevant field.
  • A familiarity with industry and its graduate requirements in your chosen field.
  • A high degree of competence in professional practice and conduct.
  • Outstanding people and communication skills including the ability to adjust to different audiences.
  • A high degree of time management and organisational skill.
