Job Description We are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to help with the day to day running of our 285 cow farm located just 5 minutes from Dargaville. School bus at gate.We seasonally supply milk through a 27 aside HB shed.We run a high producing grass-based system feeding palm kernel, grass silage, hay and summer crops.Duties include milking and feeding cows, calf rearing, stock work, general farm maintenance and the making of silage and hay.You'll be working with me (the farm owner) and one other full time staff member.Attributes we value are: good stockmanship, honesty, reliability, a genuine and strong desire to progress in the dairy industry, an eye for detail and doing things right the first time.Ideally you will have 2 full seasons experience and be looking to broaden and enhance your skill base.
